Sweating it out in matching bra tops and leggings, the Enavant team gathered in NYC this summer for the Active Collective Tradeshow.
During the last weeks of the August heat, we got acquainted with new Enavant Heroine recruits running around the city with big dreams
and inspired wisdom to share on fitness, balance and passions that keep them ‘moving forward.’
Hi! I’m originally from Houston, Texas and moved to New York to study economics and politics at NYU.
The desire to be remembered and to do something meaningful with my life, to do something that will add value to society.
Whether that’s creating a startup or making a YouTube channel about robots… I am not sure yet.
Balance is hard and I learned that while it’s not always easy to maintain, it’s essential.
I have always been active but when I got to college, I was taking 5 classes a semester, playing soccer at NYU, doing Model UN, while working
part-time as a tutor. My school life suffered, because I was working too much or always at soccer practice and had very little down time.
Around Junior year is when I made it a habit to take Saturday’s off - no exercise and no school work.
And that one day off really helped me relax and prioritize what I needed to focus on for the following week!
Be kind and try not to be catty or bully others (particularly a message for younger girls).
Growing up, girls more so than guys around me could be vicious and mean and I was often on the receiving end of it throughout
elementary and high school.
Hi, I’m Emiko from Japan and i’ve lived in New York City for 8 years.
What’s kept me moving forward are the many opportunities i’ve found living in New York city!
Recently they have been modeling and dancing as well as my full-time job as an accountant.
Sometimes I take a dance class or at the end of the day, a long bath.
After a good dance class I feel more open-minded and it’s become my stress relief.
Treating myself to my favorite lunch and dinner and sleeping a full 8 hours are also things that have worked for me, and my body.
Hi, I’m Octavia and i’m a full-time artist, working in fashion as a freelance model and working in music as an independent singer/songwriter.
My passions and my freedom keep me moving forward in life.
Living for the things I love and the freedom to change directions or paths whenever I’d like.
I’m a very spiritual being so my routine includes a lot of mantras, sage, prayer and meditation but it can vary from day to day.
Meditation and prayer is my go-to stress reliever, after that I go to the gym and work it all out.
When my self esteem is feeling low, I doll myself up and take myself out for coffee or a movie etc. Self-love is the best love.
Success to me means achieving your heart’s desires even if it’s just taking 1 step per day.
“You are already enough”
Hi! I’m 28 years young :) and an entrepreneur in online sales, blogging, promo modeling/acting and real estate!
Growth has always been my goal.
Knowing that there’s always room for improvement keeps me moving forward in life.
Success means accomplishing a goal.
I believe it’s important to constantly have bigger goals that serve your higher purpose and ultimately serve your inner peace & happiness.
I reflect back on how far i’ve come and acknowledge my growth.
I reset my goals, make a plan to execute and constantly look at my ‘why.’
Be 100% true to yourself and never let anyone define your value.
YOU define your value and always continue to grow and shine.
Hi! I am an integrative nutrition health coach as well as a personal trainer.
Kindness is what keeps me moving forward in life. A simple act of kindness can go a long way and I strive to do that for others.
A trick that I use is an online calendar.
We all know life can get very busy and overwhelming at times, so knowing that you can resort to something in an organized way can be very beneficial for one’s state of mind.
Spacing things out in a healthy way can be a great tool for an individual. I always say to people I meet, it’s all about moderation!
I feel like we all get caught up in irrelevant things, that we sometimes lose the path that we’re on.
You’re beautiful just the way you are!
To me, a woman means being strong and independent.
Understanding where they stand in the world and knowing that they can achieve anything they put their mind to.
